Welcome to Navigating Cutting Edge Innovations in Healthcare!   Dr. Durnell and her subject matter experts, introduces you to identifying, accessing, and evaluating inclusive health innovations.  Understanding of technology in business, education, and medical/clinical applications is becoming critical to be competitive and skilled in the workforce. Likewise, as technology continues to permeate every corner of society, it is more important than ever to ensure we are including diverse viewpoints in development and diffusion of innovation. The more advanced technology becomes, the more people’s lives can become mediated by these tools.  This course will provide clinicians, students, and educators with current insights on health disparities, as well as new technologies such as virtual reality, (VR), therapeutic innovations, AI and green technology that affects healthcare.  Participants will examine in depth how virtual reality (VR) as an experiential technology, can support transformational behavior change in clinical assessments and treatments, training, and social change. Participants will explore how technological innovations can be effectively used to facilitate learning, optimize human performance and promote good health.
